Thai food is one of the world's great cuisines, and Bangkok is the best place to taste it at its most refined. The city's top Thai restaurants range from Southern Thai tasting menus to royal court recipes and dishes revived from mid-century cookbooks.

This guide picks ten of the best, all holding Michelin stars in the 2026 Michelin Guide Thailand, grouped by the style of Thai cooking they specialise in.

A Quick Guide to Thai Fine Dining

  • Samrub: a traditional Thai spread of several dishes served together, such as curry, soup, salad and relish, eaten with rice.
  • Royal Thai cuisine: refined dishes from the palace kitchens, often delicate and intricately prepared.
  • Regional Thai: the food of the north, the northeast (Isan) and the south, each with its own ingredients and level of spice.
  • "++": 10% service and 7% VAT are added to prices marked this way.

How We Chose These Restaurants

This is an editorial selection, not a scientific or absolute ranking. We focused on restaurants serving Thai cuisine, using the Michelin Guide Thailand 2026 and the restaurants' own menus and booking pages to check addresses and prices.

The guide is compiled from published sources, not from personal visits. Thai tasting menus change with the seasons, so check prices when you book.
