  • Dinner as a show: Gaggan
  • Thai fine dining with a temple view: Nusara
  • The best value Michelin star: Le Du

Bangkok is one of the world's great food cities, and the 2026 awards confirmed it. The Michelin Guide Thailand 2026 gave the city two three-star restaurants for the first time, and nine Bangkok restaurants appear on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2026, more than any other city.

This guide picks ten of Bangkok's best restaurants, from Southern Thai and royal Thai cooking to modern German and progressive Indian, with prices and booking tips for each.

Before You Book: What "++" Means

Most fine-dining restaurants in Bangkok quote prices with "++," which means a 10% service charge and 7% VAT are added to the bill. A ฿6,000++ menu costs about ฿7,060 in total. Prices in this guide follow the restaurants' own format.

How We Chose These Restaurants

This is an editorial selection, not a scientific or absolute ranking. We started from the Michelin Guide Thailand 2026 and Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2026, then checked each address and price against recent listings, menus and booking pages.

The guide is compiled from published sources, not from personal visits. Menus and prices change with the seasons, so check before you book.

How to Choose

  • For the best Thai food: Sorn or Nusara.

  • For a sustainable menu: Baan Tepa.

Tips for Fine Dining in Bangkok

  • Book early. Sorn, Nusara and Gaggan release seats on set dates and sell out quickly.
  • Budget for "++". Add about 17% to prices quoted with "++."
